Sophomore Year
My name is Dwayne Sanders Jr and I attend Tiffin University as a senior. I am a Sports Management major with a concentration in Sport Administration. I've been playing basketball for 3 years, I am an active leader in the organization called SAAB, I live in a special interest house titled "Heart Disease Awareness House, and I am a member of our Sports Management Club here on campus. This year I will be interning with the Tiffin University Varsity Basketball Team this semester as the basketball manager.
Last year, I held a part time position in the same facility with the same team. I felt like this was a good position to help me get some experience for the type of career that I want to get into which is coaching. I've always loved basketball, and when I am unable to play any longer, I would love to still be around the game. I am very passionate about basketball and I am very passionate about giving back to children in any kind of way. I feel that I could do that through coaching, whether that is coaching at the collegiate level, or even at the high school level. I know that it can impact ones life because I am living proof of that. For years I have always been told by my coaches that basketball is just like life. If you don't have discipline, determination, or work hard, you won't ever succeed. I didn't believe them until I started to get older and now that I look back on it, I know that they were right!
